Central Field 1 and 2 Information

The main diamonds for the tournament are Central Fields 1 and 2 on Burns Avenue. The fields are side by side just off North River Road on Burns Avenue. The fields are located approximately 2.5 km from the team accommodations.

Dimensions

Dimensions for the Central Fields are approximately as follows:

• Centre field fence, 265 feet in Diamond One and 275 feetat Diamond 2
• Left Field fence, 239 feet
• Right field, 239 feet
• Homeplate to backstop, 23 feet

The outfield fence will be placed at 225 feet for the tournament. They are both softball diamonds.

Lighting

Both fields are fully lit.

Skinned infield

Both of the infields are rock dust. The facilities also have underground drainage so they dry very quickly in the event of rain.

Type of fence

Permanent wire fence. There are fences in front of each dugout.

Announcers/Statisticians Area

There are enclosed areas for announcers and statisticians at the top of the grandstand behind the backstop at Central Field 1.

Scoreboard

There is a lit electronic scoreboard at Central Field 1.

Seating Capacity

1,500 seating capacity at Central Field 1 with built-in grandstand. VIP seating will be arranged. Washrooms, supplemented with portable toilets, are available.

Practice Diamonds

The warm-up field for Central Field 1 and 2 is the rugby field behind the diamond for night games and the Queen Elizabeth diamonds during the day.
