Team Accommodations

The Host Committee has been fortunate in arranging for UPEI to act as the host accommodations for the tournament. The Host Committee has reserved rooms at two residences, Bernadine Hall and the New Residence for July 6th to July 12th inclusive. Any other nights are the financial responsibility of the teams. The Host Committee will be responsible for the payment of rooms for the teams coming to the province to a maximum of 20 people, 3 coaches and 17 players.

Teams will be asked to indicate the number of players and coaches. The rooms will only be held until May 20th, 2009. A request will be made to the Provincial/Territorial softball associations and International Associations to reserve the number of rooms required on behalf of the teams from their jurisdiction to ensure the rooms are available.

Residence, Food and Conference Services at UPEI prides itself on providing efficient and friendly service to all guests visiting the UPEI campus. Their professional staff are committed to providing clean and well-maintained residence facilities that are practical for all travellers.

Please see here for a map of the campus. Guests can check their email, free of charge, at the Robertson Library during business hours 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Visitors are encouraged to make use of other on-campus facilities including the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre ($7.50 plus 5% tax per person/day), outdoor tennis courts, walking trails and much more. In addition, the campus is located a short walking distance to shopping centres and many local attractions. There are two pools on campus which can be used at a cost.
